Crayons to Classrooms impact report (“We’re making an impact on students and teachers in the Dayton region”)

Project: Crayons to Classrooms impact report (“We’re making an impact on students and teachers in the Dayton region”)

Scope: Develop a compelling, highly visual impact report to highlight and celebrate the findings, impacts and results documented in the Dayton Crayons to Classrooms Teacher and Administrator Satisfaction Survey Report, April 2010. The impact report is designed to convince stakeholders that Crayons to Classrooms is making a difference and help drive growth and continuous improvement in service to teachers and students.

Target audiences include:

  • donors and potential donors (private foundations, corporate foundations, individuals);
  • board members at Crayons to Classrooms;
  • school boards, superintendents and senior staff;
  • existing and new schools in the program;
  • teachers;
  • volunteers and community organizations;
  • vendors; and
  • attendees at professional conferences/presentations.

The impact report is being used to:

  • create awareness among target audiences about the organization’s results, impact and value to date;
  • further promote and sell the value of Crayons to Classrooms in the community and to new and potential schools in the program;
  • encourage even more teachers from participating schools to visit the free store;
  • keep existing teachers and schools excited about supporting and participating in the program;
  • inform donors that Crayons to Classrooms has been good stewards of their dollars so they continue their support; and
  • convince potential donors about the value of Crayons to Classrooms so they consider donating.

Services provided: Strategy development with the client/client interviews; review of the consultant’s 93-page report to determine the key findings most important to stakeholders; message/creative concept development; copywriting; photo research; and design, layout and proofreading. A 12-page report was developed and delivered and is available at www.dc2c.org.
