Teresa Zumwald to emcee Woman of Distinction Awards Reception-Dayton for Girl Scouts of Western Ohio Oct. 30
ENGLEWOOD, Ohio, Sept. 8, 2014 – Teresa Zumwald, owner and president of Zumwald & Company, LLC, will emcee the annual Woman of Distinction Awards Reception-Dayton for Girl Scouts of Western Ohio Oct. 30. The reception will be 5:30–7:30 p.m. at the Schuster Performing Arts Center, Mathile Theatre, in downtown Dayton.
The event celebrates the legacy of Girl Scouting by honoring exceptional women in the Dayton region. Honorees are women of outstanding success who are making significant contributions in an impressive array of fields. They are role models for girls and leading the way for future girl leaders, according to Girl Scouts of Western Ohio.
The 2014 honorees for the Dayton region are:
- Leesa A. Baker, YWCA Piqua
- Cassie B. Barlow, Ph.D., Wright-Patterson Air Force Base
- Laurie M. Joyner, Ph.D., Wittenberg University
- Nodie Monroe Washington, Ph.D., Procter & Gamble
- Heena Rathore, MBA, BioGreenChoice
- Nancy A. Robie, MBA, Kettering Health Network
The reception brings together members of the community to support the honorees and Girl Scouts of Western Ohio. It is also the signature fundraising event for Girl Scouts of Western Ohio.
Zumwald is a speechwriter, speech coach, communications consultant and author. From 2000–2006, she volunteered as a co-leader for a Girl Scout troop in Dayton.
Girl Scouts of Western Ohio serves nearly 50,000 girls in a 32-county area throughout western Ohio and southeast Indiana. Four regional Girl Scout Centers are located in Cincinnati, Dayton, Lima and Toledo. ■
