Advanced Communicator Gold, Competent Leader recognitions awarded to Teresa Zumwald

Advanced Communicator Gold is the highest communication program recognition Toastmasters offers.

ENGLEWOOD, Ohio, Oct. 1, 2020 – Teresa Zumwald, who is the CEO, speechwriter and storyteller at Zumwald & Company, has earned the Advanced Communicator Gold and Competent Leader recognitions from Toastmasters International.

About the Advanced Communicator Gold (ACG) recognition

Members of Toastmasters can work in the Advanced Communication Series after receiving their Competent Communicator recognition.

The Advanced Communication Series features 15 manuals, each containing five speech projects. Members choose the manuals they want to complete and the skills they want to learn. These advanced manuals help members refine and enhance their speaking skills and become eligible for several awards.

Zumwald received the ACG recognition because she:

  • Earned her Advanced Communicator Silver recognition
  • Coordinated and conducted one Success/Leadership workshop on How to Conduct Productive Meetings
  • Wrote and delivered 10 speeches from two Advanced Communication Series manuals: The Professional Speaker and Speeches by Management

According to Toastmasters, “The ACG award is the highest communication program recognition our organization offers. You have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in communication by achieving this award.”

The Competent Leader award recognizes skill building in leadership development.

About the Competent Leader (CL) recognition

To earn the CL recognition, Zumwald completed 10 projects from the Competent Leadership manual.

According to Toastmasters, “critical thinking, time management, planning and implementation, organizing and delegating, facilitation, motivating people and team building are just a few of the skills you have developed as you completed the 10 projects in this manual.”

Zumwald is a member of Downtown Morning Toasters in Dayton, Ohio, a club of Toastmasters International. She has been a member since 2009.
