Business development workshop for independent speechwriters will feature Zumwald as a panelist

ENGLEWOOD, Ohio, July 23, 2020 – Teresa Zumwald is one of three panelists for the Special Independent Speechwriters Biz Dev Workshop during the 2020 Professional Speechwriters Association (PSA) World Conference: A Week of Timely Inspiration, Urgent Instruction and Crucial Conversation happening Oct. 19–23 online.

The workshop will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time Oct. 20.

During the event, Gotham Ghostwriters founder Dan Gerstein will moderate a wide-open “Ask Us Anything” panel featuring Zumwald and fellow independent speechwriters Rosemary King and Cheril Clarke.

The panelists will share how they’ve pivoted – and how they’ve stood their ground – to stay sustainable as the speechwriting landscape changed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

This is the third time Zumwald has either delivered a presentation or participated on a panel for the PSA:

Earlier this year, she was a panelist for a virtual, industry niche discussion about how independent speechwriters can convert their speechwriting skills into in-demand leadership communication counsel in light of the pandemic.
In 2018, she delivered a breakout session on “How to Write Proposals That Seal Deals” during the PSA World Conference at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She was also a panelist for “Independent Speechwriting: Breaking in, Staying in and Staying Happy,” on how to market your services with imagination (and joy).
In 2017, she collaborated with speechwriter Janet Stovall to deliver “The Freelance Survivors: Secrets from Independent Speechwriters Who Have Made It This Far (Knock Wood)” during the annual conference at Georgetown University.

Zumwald is the CEO, speechwriter and storyteller at Zumwald & Company, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2019. Since 2012, her client speeches have won 17 awards including 10 Cicero Speechwriting Awards from Vital Speeches of the Day. Recently she collaborated as the writer of a business book, authored by an executive, that was published in 2020.

Among her speechwriting and leadership communication clients are board chairs, CEOs, presidents, vice presidents, entrepreneurs and subject matter experts, and a former chairman of the board of two global manufacturing companies based in Europe.
