Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce names Teresa Zumwald a Volunteer of the Quarter for Q4 2023

ENGLEWOOD, Ohio, Feb. 21, 2024 – At the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees meeting today, Teresa Zumwald received a Volunteer of the Quarter Award for Q4 2023.

Also receiving this award was the Honorable Bob Taft of the University of Dayton.

In a statement, the chamber said Zumwald and Taft were chosen from a list of nominees because of their outstanding service and dedication to the chamber.

Zumwald is the CEO, speechwriter, executive speech coach and storyteller at Zumwald & Company, LLC.

She was nominated by Veronica Nunamaker, the chamber’s director of marketing and member engagement.

Presenting the award to Zumwald was Hadley Williams, account executive at Elements IV Interiors and a chamber member. In her remarks, Williams said:

“Teresa has been a member of the Dayton Area Chamber for 10 years and participates in our Executive Women’s Council. 

“By Teresa’s own doing, she is engaged with furthering the chamber’s mission and messaging. 

“Teresa’s savvy social media presence and knowledge of marketing through our publications has brought more awareness of our chamber activities to current and prospective members.

“Teresa shows her support of the chamber through organic social media engagement. 

“She has participated and shared our chamber publication: FOCUS.

“Teresa’s efforts have led to a significant uptick in the reach and engagement of our organization’s social media channels. 

“Her scope goes beyond our region, and the fact that she chooses to advocate for our mission provides clout in backing our brand.”

Williams thanked Zumwald for her commitment to the Dayton business community and support of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.

Said Zumwald: “Being a cheerleader for Dayton businesses and business people comes easy to me since for 35 years, our region has been such a terrific place for me to build my own thriving business. It’s an honor to spread the word and help amplify the good work and progress happening in our community.”
