Teresa Zumwald named 2015-2016 president of Downtown Morning Toasters, a club of Toastmasters International
ENGLEWOOD, Ohio, July 1, 2015 – Members of Downtown Morning Toasters, a club of Toastmasters International, have named Teresa Zumwald president for the 2015-2016 program year beginning July 1, 2015, and ending June 30, 2016.
As club president, Zumwald presides over meetings; works with the club’s leaders to achieve success in the Distinguished Club Program of Toastmasters International; and serves as the club’s representative at the district and international levels.
Zumwald also serves as chair of the club’s executive committee, which includes all eight club officers: president, vice president education, vice president membership, vice president public relations, secretary, treasurer, sergeant-at-arms and the immediate past president.
Downtown Morning Toasters currently has 29 members and meets weekly from 7:30–8:30 a.m. on Wednesdays at Sinclair Community College on the first floor of Building 12, 444 W. Third Street in Dayton, Ohio. The cost is $5.50 per meeting and includes parking and a beverage service.
The club is accepting new members, and guests are always welcome to attend meetings. “Our club lets you develop your speaking and leadership skills in a safe, friendly, encouraging environment,” Zumwald said.
Zumwald attended training at the District 40 Toastmasters Leadership Institute June 30.
“Together with other incoming presidents, we brainstormed solutions to leadership issues and shared ideas for mentoring members, working with other club officers and completing club goals,” she said. “I’m excited about working with the executive committee to help our individual members reach their individual goals, and to help our club fulfill our Club Success Plan.”
