Teresa Zumwald to emcee 10th Annual Leadership Conference for Women in Business Networking on Sept. 20
ENGLEWOOD, Ohio, May 16, 2017 – Teresa Zumwald of Zumwald & Company, LLC, will emcee the 10th Annual Leadership Conference for Women in Business Networking (WiBN) on Sept. 20, 2017, at the Dayton Convention Center in Dayton, Ohio.
The Annual Leadership Conference is the flagship event for WiBN, a group of diverse women in business who encourage one another’s professional growth and success.
WiBN, a program of your Better Business Bureau, provides forums for building relationships so women will achieve career and personal success through networking, education, resources and recognition.
According to WiBN, the Annual Leadership Conference is all about getting from where you are to where you want to go. “Together. We Climb” signifies WiBN’s ascension to becoming a vital resource for women in business to gather, connect and learn.
Zumwald was a founding advisory board member of WiBN from 2010–2013. “I’m so thrilled to emcee this anniversary event, which promises to be a grand celebration of 10 years of leadership and learning through WiBN,” she said.
‘Fear facer’ Michelle Poler is keynote speaker
The opening keynote will be delivered by Michelle Poler, billed as a “fear facer” for facing 100 fears in 100 days. Her talk, “What are we so afraid of?”, will change people’s perception of fear and inspire them to take action.
Since Poler completed her 100th challenge on a TEDx stage, her personal project has turned into a global movement. Poler discovered that inspiring others to go after their fears was her new calling. She now tours the world and speaks at companies, schools and organizations to teach people how to step outside their comfort zones and tap into their full potential.
The 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. conference also features leadership sessions by Lisa Beutel, Brett Kondritz and Robin Brun of the University of Dayton Center for Leadership; Rhonda Reagh of Reagh and Associates; entrepreneur Valerie Smiley; and journalist and editor Susan Wenner Jackson. More speakers are being added to the agenda, according to Melissa Cutcher, conference chair and vice president of leadership and development for the Better Business Bureau serving Dayton and the Miami Valley.
Attendees will enjoy workshops, breakout sessions, panels, leadership spotlights, speed networking, exhibits and door prizes. The conference includes a light breakfast, coffee breaks and lunch, and ends with a cocktail reception from 4:30–5:30 p.m. Parking at the Dayton Convention Center at 22 E. Fifth St. is free for attendees.
Pre-conference events beginning on Sept. 19 at the Crowne Plaza, 33 E. Fifth St., include:
