Teresa Zumwald certified by the Leadership Communication Academy
ENGLEWOOD, Ohio, March 12, 2025 – Teresa Zumwald of Zumwald & Company, LLC, has completed a certificate course in strategic executive communication and is now certified by the Leadership Communication Academy.

The certificate course was presented by the Executive Communication Council and the Logos Institute for Crisis Management and Executive Leadership.
This course was designed for executive communication professionals to enhance their ability to be genuinely strategic in their role.
Graduates of the course learned how to apply the principles of strategy to help senior leaders advance an organization’s goals.
The certified executive communication professionals – 20 in the inaugural program – know how to:

- Think clearly and strategically about every challenge they confront and every opportunity that presents itself
- Define desired outcomes and organize communication to achieve them
- Deeply understand audiences and what it takes to change their behavior
- Use language more effectively to provoke behavioral change
- Become a trusted adviser to all the leaders they serve
The 16+ hours of disciplined, structured, rigorous instruction were delivered by master teachers from the Logos Institute for Crisis Management and Executive Leadership: Helio Fred Garcia and Katie Garcia.
Participants completed three in-room written exercises plus homework, assessed by the instructors to determine the students’ mastery of content.
The assignments were both practical and timely.
According to David Murray, executive director of the Executive Communication Council, participants “applied Leadership Communication Academy concepts to the current communication problems faced by their far-flung organizations operating from both sides of the Atlantic.
“And if they did not solve all those problems, they clarified their thinking, and they will help the leaders they serve … clarify their own.”
Teresa Zumwald said she’s already applying learnings from the course to current executive communication projects underway at Zumwald & Company.
“The research- and science-based foundational principles, tools and methods we learned apply to all aspects of executive communication – including speeches and presentations that leaders deliver in public to audiences inside and outside their organizations,” she said.
