Teresa Zumwald to be local host at global conference for business communicators
ENGLEWOOD, Ohio, June 24, 2021 – Teresa Zumwald, the CEO, speechwriter and storyteller at Zumwald & Company in Ohio, will be one of two local hosts on day one of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) World Conference set for June 28–30, 2021.
Joining her on June 28 as a local host is Austin Staton, a fellow member of IABC and a senior account executive at Pierpont Communications in Houston, Texas.
IABC’s virtual world conference is designed with and for communications professionals who will connect with peers from around the globe, hear from leading industry experts and leave the event with knowledge that creates value for their companies and elevates their careers.
As local hosts on June 28, Zumwald and Staton are “the voice of the attendee, local representation for each day and the connecting thread throughout the event,” said Erin Goblirsch, education and learning services manager at SmithBucklin, the association management firm for IABC.
Zumwald and Staton will be discussing the conference live, reflecting on past sessions and previewing what’s ahead.
Our local hosts “inject personality and humanity into our virtual platform,” said Jane Mitchell, program advisory committee conference chair, IABC Fellow, founder of JL&M Ltd. and a director at Karian and Box in the United Kingdom.
Zumwald said, “Austin and I are looking forward to having fun with this collaboration and bringing a local flavor to this one-of-a-kind international event. I’ve attended IABC World Conferences for the past two decades, and this virtual event is an extension of the conference quality our attendees expect, and always get, from IABC.”
Keynoting the conference are Sally Susman, executive vice president and chief corporate affairs officer at Pfizer, Inc., and Isidro Reyna, senior communications specialist at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
The event, hosted on the Social27 virtual platform, features dozens of breakout sessions from premier speakers worldwide, networking activities, an exhibit hall and group activities.
In addition to being a local host on day one, Zumwald will also moderate six sessions throughout the conference and host a global roundtable discussion entitled, “It’s about time we hear from solopreneurs/independent consultants/small agencies: What are you doing to intentionally evolve, change and adapt your business as a result of the pandemic?”
You can still register for the IABC World Conference here. One-day passes are also available.
