Zumwald a panelist for industry discussion on leadership communication
ENGLEWOOD, Ohio, April 3, 2020 – Teresa Zumwald will be a panelist at an industry niche discussion about how independent speechwriters can convert their speechwriting skills into in-demand leadership communication counsel in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
The online event, hosted by the Professional Speechwriters Association (PSA), will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time April 8.
“As independent speechwriters and leadership communicators, it’s our job to always stay on top of what’s needed to deliver professional services and counsel to our clients,” Zumwald said. “It’s an honor to be a panelist for this discussion. I’m looking forward to contributing and learning on Wednesday.”
Zumwald is CEO, speechwriter and storyteller at Zumwald & Company, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2019. Zumwald’s speeches have won 15 international, national and regional awards including nine Cicero Speechwriting Awards from Vital Speeches of the Day. Among her speechwriting clients are board chairs, CEOs, presidents, vice presidents and a former chairman of the board of two global manufacturing companies based in Europe.
The panel moderator will be PSA Executive Director David Murray, who says the discussion will help speechwriters brainstorm ways to be “visible, useful, solvent and sane” by exchanging “experiences, ideas and advice.”
Zumwald said the panel is important right now since so many in-person events that demand speeches – including conferences, commencements, awards events and annual meetings – have either been canceled, postponed or reimagined for the virtual world because of COVID-19.
