Zumwald wins three 2019 Cicero Speechwriting Awards from Vital Speeches of the Day

ENGLEWOOD, Ohio, April 15, 2019 – Teresa Zumwald, the CEO, speechwriter and B2B storyteller at Zumwald & Company, has won three 2019 Cicero Speechwriting Awards from Vital Speeches of the Day.

This makes Zumwald a nine-time winner of the Cicero Speechwriting Awards since 2014.

This year, two of Zumwald’s speeches were category winners, and one speech received an honorable mention in this 12th annual competition, which recognizes the speechwriters and the speakers who make great speeches.

1 – CATEGORY WINNER: COMMERCE AND RETAIL

“How Distributors and Reps Can Build Trust and Work Better Together to Remain Relevant in Our Markets” was a 30-minute executive address prepared for and delivered by Eddie Gibbs, vice president of Vendor Relations at Winsupply Inc.

Gibbs delivered the speech on Sept. 13, 2018, at the AIM/R 46th Annual Conference in Napa, Calif. AIM/R is the Association of Independent Manufacturers’/Representatives, Inc.

Zumwald’s speech, the Commerce and Retail category winner, is featured on page 12 of “These Vital Speeches: The Best of the 2019 Cicero Speechwriting Awards,” a commemorative anthology of the winning speeches now posted on the Cicero Speechwriting Awards website.

2 – CATEGORY WINNER: EMPLOYEE MEETING

“The Keys to Our Collective Success” was a 30-minute executive address prepared for and delivered by Rick Schwartz, chairman of the board at Winsupply Inc.

Schwartz delivered the speech on Sept. 28, 2018, to advisory and support services staff at the Winsupply Town Hall meeting in Dayton, Ohio.

Zumwald’s speech, the Employee Meeting category winner, is featured on page 58 of “These Vital Speeches.”

3 – HONORABLE MENTION: TRIBUTE SPEECH

“Keep Your Eyes on the Prize” was a father-of-the-groom speech prepared for and delivered by Jeff Walker on July 20, 2018, in Cincinnati, Ohio. This speech received an honorable mention and was noted on page 2 of “These Vital Speeches.”

As a Cicero winner, Zumwald will be recognized at the 2019 World Conference of the Professional Speechwriters Association Oct. 21–23 in Washington, D.C.
